LAS VEGAS — After five games of relative good health for North Dakota State, the Bison received pay back against UNLV on Saturday at Allegiant Stadium. The Bison lost leading rusher DJ Scott to a possible shoulder injury in a 13-7 loss to UNLV, something head coach Tim Polasek could cost the running back "a week or two." Starting safety Darius Givance also sat out a significant portion of the game because of a back injury. "He really had a hard time opening up and running but there was no structural damage as far as the lower back," Polasek said. In addition, starting cornerback DJ Voltz was on the sidelines in the second half with his elbow taped and his pads off. Scott left the game in the first half and appearing to favor his right shoulder. Scott went to the tunnel with someone from the NDSU medical staff. "There was a significant AC joint," Polasek said.
